Important Update: Microsoft Power BI Pricing Changes Coming April 2025

Microsoft has announced a global price adjustment for its popular data analytics platform, Power BI, effective April 1, 2025. This is the first pricing change since the launch of Power BI nearly a decade ago — a reflection of the platform's tremendous growth and innovation.

💼 What’s Changing?

Starting April 1, 2025, the new monthly pricing will be:

Power BI Pro: From $10 → $14 per user/month

Power BI Premium Per User (PPU): From $20 → $24 per user/month

These prices will apply to new and renewing commercial customers worldwide, with standardized pricing across currencies.

Since launching in July 2015, Microsoft has delivered over 1,500 enhancements, including:

Advanced AI features

Enhanced data security

Broader integration with over 100+ data sources

Better collaboration tools within Microsoft 365

Power BI is no longer just a self-service tool — it's now a robust enterprise-grade analytics platform powering decisions for businesses of all sizes.

👥 Who Will Be Affected?

New Customers: Will see the new pricing effective April 1, 2025.

Existing EA (Enterprise Agreement) Customers: Can retain current pricing until renewal after April 1, 2025.

Microsoft 365 E5 & Office 365 E5 Subscribers: No change — Power BI is included.
